New Rolex models at Basel show?

Hey all,

I found this info on another site and I'm not sure if it is already old news for most of you or even 100% accurate but I thought at least some of you would be interested... any comments?

This is what we will see in Basel this year:

- New (Non Date) Medium size

- New (Non Date) Lady size

- New Date (optional with WG bezel)

- New Air-King (optional with WG bezel)

- New GMT II in SS (for now only black bezel)

- Some new Tudor (Sport?) models

That SS GMT II, does it come with ceramic black bezel?
I am going to get my ass on the waiting list if it does.

I am planning to get the GMT Master II, I think I rather get the older style more, gives me a feeling of history. Plus, for the new style, the price will be pretty tight for a while.

Lets just hope that it doesn't end up like the SS daytona, at least not until I get one in my hands first.

Tell me about it... as hot as the LVs are now if you look at the new Rolex site they give you the impresion that it is a full time addition to the Sub line up... will the value hold of they make more and it becomes permenant?

Anything new by way of DJs? Although I doubt it.....Rolex already have a new line-up with their DJs.

Looks like I answered my own question!!

The only people that made like the LV was a limited edition were some of the retailers... Rolex always maintained that it was a regular production watch.

I do see your point, as what'll happen when most of the people who bought it solely as an investment start wanting to sell them off... since it's not going ot be this "grail" watch they were counting on it becoming.

You guys will have to take a ticket and get in line behind me because I'm going to be first with the new GMTII with black ceramic bezel and maxi dial, that's if it is ever released.
Only joking, but I hope it isn't too expensive (if it does get released) my guess will be something like US$5880, ouch that's going to hurt

If your price estimate is right, that would make it about $800 more than the current SS GMT-II.

I know the guy who gave this information and he is most of the time very accurate. He has some insiders in Geneva. We'll see if his information was 100% correct.

Yes, I'd really be interested in finding out if the new GMT-II is finally going to be released in the much-awaited SS version!!

Steve,
Good come back I will gladly wait in line behind you, however I do hope the SS GMT II is under $6,300.

How much more expensive than the old TT GMT is the anniversary model? This should be a reasonable way of guessing at the SS retail price.
