Getting new watch need help?
Hello, I have not posted in awhile , but I visit from time to time. Very informative. I bought a Sub awhile back and love it and you guys were very helpful. Anyway, I am now looking at getting another fine watch and wanted some opinions. I am thinking about either a Tag, Breitling or omega. Not another Rolex at this time. Being watch people I am sure you have some good input. I would go rolex, but the one I like is out of my price range. Looking for something around 3-4 k. Thanks... Dan

I would look into a used Rolex datejust. Old models can be had at a bargin and would add some diversity to collection.
But if it not to be Rolex, I would go Omega. A speedy would be nice. Just be careful, as you have a sub, if you get a watch that you really do not like, or at least as much as the sub, it will be sitting a lot. One you have a great watch like a sub, all other watches must compete for wrist time. Good luck. |

Check Preownedrolex.com. Cayce has some great deals on some beautiful DJs right in your price range. As much as I love my Heuer, I much prefer my Rolex.

I like the Breitling Navitimer myself the model known as the 'Old Navitimer' with the sub dials at 3,6 and 9 would be my choice probably with the Blue dial pre-owned to save $$$. A great watch with a great history. |

Hello Dan,
I'm another Dan just across the river. Althought Rolex has emerged as the most popular brand of my modest collection I do enjoy wearing a Tag Monaco from time to time. All the best, dP

If you want to spend about 2k then a tag carrera is a nice choice, The speedmaster is a stunning watch and fits your budget (I love the broad arrow)
