My Double D Rolex Family - Daytona & Datejust
The Beginning Of The Story
Not everyone is born with a silver platter, I happen to be the type of person that needs to stand up on my own, living a hard life, earning and saving dollar by a dollar... Rolex has been my passion and dream since a long time ago. Ever since I saw one of the Rolex advertisement that I read in my local book store (back in the late 1990s), the image of Rolex has been "haunting" my dreams, day by day, night by night. Until recently, by a change of luck and destiny, with advancement in my career, I was able to start purchasing my dream watch and hence, the start of my Rolex addiction! The first one I bought is the Rolex Daytona TT 116523 - Steel Dial - D Serial and the second one is the Rolex Datejust TT 116203 - Silver Dial - F Serial. I bought them all used from a trusted store that was referred by a friend. For me, buying a used Rolex makes more sense, as I don't have to take the depreciation hit and it gives me the best bang for buck! During my learning process in this forum, I learned that most people favor the SS version of Rolex, especially in the sport model. However, I found my self attracted to the TT model, as it screams class and elegance, but then again, it may be just my preference. Enough said, I don't want to bore everyone to death, enjoy My Double D Rolex Family Daytona Datejust Last edited by welem; 8 August 2010 at 09:18 PM.. Reason: adding pics |

What is cool on your pics is that both of them seem to be Everose Gold TT, instead of yellow gold (even if I know they´re yellow, the lighting doesn´t make them look so) Beautiful watches indeed! I´d say I like the Steel Dial on the Daytona more, but the Datejust is just as stunning as! ...Congratulations on your dream-catching acquisitions and wear them well, and in good health, friend! Best Regards, Erwin.

What a great pair of watches you have and enjoy them...I understand you thoughts about obtaining a Rolex. I wanted one for over 40 years and bought my GMT Pepsi three years ago!!!

Still needs a Day-Date to make it Triple-D family though...
But the cost is just $$$$... Well, time to start a new watch fund again I presume! |
