Rolex, least favorite or popular..

I was wondering which Rolex is you’re least favorite / popular watch and why so?
Not including the diamond encrusted or super glitzy ones which are over the top for me.

The Rolex Air King! A little to plain for my taste.

The solid gold ones.......
Why? I think I´m too young to wear a golden watch

greenfan,
I'm with you on the solid gold watch thing, I may be getting old yet not as old as JJ said he was.

I disagree on the all gold watch, if I could afford the all gold anniversary GMT that is what I would wear.

I know a lot of people disagree with me but I don’t like the Explorer II. It is mainly the bezel, I just don’t like it.

Totally Agree . It's not that I don't like the Explorer 2 but the Explorer 1 is more me.

So, after posting this question I find out my daily wearer White Exp. II
is "not" so popular.

I still love it.

The ones I'd never buy are the DATE models. Don't like them at all and find them too damn tiny.

The DATE models.

In the sport watch range,I prefer the Subs/Sea-Dweller/GMTs ,above the Explorer II.

Also, the DDs with ice on the hour markers and on the bezel is very nice,BUT,anything more, is overdone.

The DJs size ~ Such a pity they dont design a 40mm range ... A 40 mm DJ would have been very nice !

Airking, just for its 34mm size Again a 40mm blue dialed Airking would have been awesome

My least favorite, other than the ones with all the diamonds/gemstones, is anything with a white dial, like the Explorer II. Also, the Date models.
My favorites are the Subs and the Sea Dweller.

Since I can't say, "any Rolex with diamonds or gems", I'd say my least favorite is the Daytona.

I do like some of the pre-Tiger Tudor chronographs though.

My favorites are the 1675/16750 GMT's and 1680 Subs.

I hate the bling. However, I have to disagree with those of you who do not like the white dial Ex II. I absolutely love mine. I did not care for my black dial Ex II (my second Rolllie -- I won it in a raffle), but the white dial Ex II is by far the most readable of the bunch, and nobdoy notices it as a Rolex. It's the true "stealth Rolex."

P.S. I have a guilty thing for Airkings and Dates....it helps that I'm 5'8"

I will probably get flamed for this, but do not care for any of the TT models or anything with Diamonds on it. Don't care much for the all gold as well, too flashy for me, but looks good on others.

I like the good old Sport Models, airkings, dates, and date just in all stainless steel.

WD Explorer II's... They just do nothing for me. Air Kings don't really get me too excited either. I don't dislike them, I just wouldn't buy...

Least liked - LV Submariner, green bezel with black dial if they were going to use green it should have been a darker royal green akin to the dark blue used on the TT SUB and both bezel and dial.
I love my White EXP II. Probably get more wrist time of all my watches. Diamonds, out, ladies watches should have diamonds, not mens.
And can someone explain this "I'm to young for gold" thing. I've seen this posted before, and I don't get it. If your in a restaurant, your 32 and you have on an 18K Blue Dialed Submariner do the people two tables over talk about you? "Do you see that young man over there with that gold watch? What is wrong with him? Don't look at him, he might see you and come over here " How about TT, do you have to be middle aged? Bill

I agree the White dial is very readable even when not wearing my reading glasses!
The few times co-workers asked what watch I wore they were surprised when I told them "Rolex".
They were again surprised when they found out the cost.
