Help with a 1675. It's the real deal but concerned with bezel insert

I am hoping TRF can help me discern whether the bezel insert on this beauty is the real deal. I'm about to buy and want to be sure. Thanks in advance.

Insert looks aftermarket. The 2's doesn't look like they should. Might be the angle of the photo but for me the 2's look "front heavy". :)

Is the bezel insert a deal breaker?

Ross:

Is that your photo or did the seller send it to you?

The insert is not a deal breaker but I am just curious.

These are the pictures that the seller provided. I'm buying the watch from the 2nd owner who bought it from the original owner 2 years ago.

Overall thoughts on the watch based on the limited # of pictures? To me it appears to have the original case, dial, hands, crown and crystal.

If it makes any difference it comes with the original box and hangtag too.

Here are a couple of bracelet pictures:

I thought that too, but I can't really tell from the pics.

Does this help ?

This a Genuine bezel insert , fitted by Rolex about 18 years ago. I,m sorry about the poor image quality , I just shot them handheld under a desk-lamp.

More of the above.

I dug out another photo of my sad old GMT wearing the Black.

Is it my imagination or are those bracelet links really distended? They seem to be quite, uhm, airy ....

Hi Kyle! Actually, I was referring to Ross' links, but now that I look at yours again, I gotta wonder. Are yours a bit stretched, or is it the shadows playing tricks?

And Ross, did yours get this way from day-to-day wear? If so, what kind of activity does the piece see to sustain this level of wear? I ask because my SD is showing ever-so-slight separation between the links after only a year of mostly daily wear, and I work at a desk!

I can't help with the bezel insert, I'm not well-versed in the GMT variants, but the bracelet links DID jump out at me ... if I'm too OT, I'll quietly walk away ...

Thanks for all of the replies.

Bill, unfortunately the bracelet does appear to have some stretch. I'll know more when I meet the seller tomorrow. Hopefully the amount of stretch isn't too significant.

I'll be sure to post pictures assuming I go through with the purchase.
