Oysterdate precision 6066 Rose Gold circa 1951?

I recently inherited a vintage Oysterdate precision 6066, the serial is 761xxx anyone know anything about this watch would be great help.

How much does something like this cost. I was told the dial was redone like 40-50 yrs ago.

Have some nicks on the case can a jeweler fix this? at what cost?
Any information regarding this watch is helpful. thanks

It is an early mid-size Oysterdate in what appears to be a gold filled case with some case damage. Even with original dial, this isn't a particularly valuable or collectible model. The refinished dial makes it somewhat less so. These are not common, so a precise range of values is difficult to judge. Probably though not more than 300-500 IMO. I don't think it would be possible to repair the damage without having the case itself restored (replated), the cost of which, done correctly, would approach the value of the watch.

Adam is one low baller. for 300-400 you dont get a rolex, a tudor maybe.

Ebay had the same one in steel

The one you show is clearly an aberration, and by a very enthusiastic seller. That final price is worthy of an early Datejust with original dial (note that the dial on that one is also not original, but redone pretty well, except that "swiss made" is misplaced).

I stand by my estimate. eBay is not always the best place to get an idea of values, as condition is all over the place. Best to get an average sense of value. In any case, I said 300-500.

Personally I would only pay that much for your watch as well, maybe a tiny bit more but not as much as that ebay auction. Like Adam said it is not a rare model. It is a nice little watch, but it is rough shape. If the dial was original it could be worth more.

thanks! maybe i will hold on to my watch for another 40 yrs and it might be a fortune then. lol! in reality the watch looks really clean/ beautiful as its a tiny watch and you dont really see the imperfections on the case as its on the back. I took it to rolex and they said its a very beautiful watch and in great condition for its age.
