It is a great watch. I hate that teenagers aren't interested in watches. My friends think it is a waste of money. They like to spend their money on video games.

BTW, this Invicta 9937 has been with me for a long time now. Excellent fit and finish build quality, does everything I need it to.

Not quite as pretty now, though.

Thank you very much Salem. The Invicta 9937 is very nice. I wonder what the difference is between the 8926 and the 9937?

I was wearing my 5512, but after browsing this thread, I set the time on my 8926, and I'll wear it the rest of the day. Hope I'm not hijacking, but what is your opinion on repair of the 8926 if needed. Is it worth it or is it a throw-away? I bought mine from Sam's Club for $109, and it's been a reliable and accurate timepiece. IMHO the bracelet with PCLs is almost worth that much.

They want $28 if I remember to 'fix' it...I'd probably toss it, and start over.

I think If mine ever broke I'd repair it. I might go for the Invicta Speedway? I think it's beautiful.

The 9937 has a Swiss ETA 2824-2 movement and sapphire crystal.

The 8926 is a great $100 watch. I've had mine for about 4yrs with no problems but if anything went wrong with it I'd probably just take the bracelet off & get rid of the head. The bracelet is a pretty good one...

Anyone mind clarifying how these are any different than run of the mill fakes? (aside from Invicta stamping on their name and changing just enough to not be sued as easily)

The Invicta designs go far beyond being "inspired" by Rolex. They're pretty blatant.

Simple, they are not claiming to be Rolex. They are not selling for a price of a Rolex. Invicta is not decieving anyone into believing they are buying a Rolex.

Many watch companies have been copying Rolex for years and years.

They're infringing on the designs, not the name. So, whatever they put on the dial is pretty irrelevant, just as the pricing is.

Copying is not the same as being inspired by. If I copy 90% of something popular and slap my name on it, sell it, that doesn't make it ok. It's not a tribute, it's a ripoff.

I would be pretty embarrassed to support a company who copies and profits from the work of others.

Yeah. Some people on this forum like and respect Invicta, and some do not. Everyone has their own opinions and I respect that.
