Breitling Navitimer World (Latest Addition)

My first and only Breitling. The Breitling Navitimer World. I considered getting a regular Navitimer for my last watch and decided to get a Pam000 instead. So when I saw the Navitimer World, I just knew this one was the one for me.

I like history of this watch, the connection to flying, the slide rule function, the chronograph, and the GMT functionality with the red fourth hand. At 46mm it's the biggest dial I currently have on any watch, but it really doesn't wear that large on my wrist.

Congrats Dan. That is one interesting looking piece. I like the red details on it

It looks great on you. How do you like the thickness of it?

Eric, thanks and the red details is the first thing I liked about it. It doesn't feel to thick, and I think that is because it has a larger diameter.

Should be a hat first, then a pen with case and a wallet. Some folks have received a leather flight jacket!!!! I never got that far myself.

Very nice piece, Dan. I've got the Navitimer Olympus, but that red GMT hand looks really great. Enjoy it.

Thank you, I am enjoying it a whole lot. When I first looked at Breitling watches I never believed I would want one. But you know thats exactly why I am enjoying this so much more all of the time. The beauty of the different types that are availible. It's just so cool.

Actually I got lucky. When I got back to the store on Saturday, they had sold the one on the Croc. The one on the Leather Calf was still there. I dont know why but I just liked it more on the Calf. They might have made the change for me, but it wasn't necessary.

This one I think is just so much better for me than the regular Navitimer, it just was meant to be.

Congrats, Dan. Didn't you just get the PAM000 a few weeks ago? At any rate, wear both in good health!

Thank you. Yes, and actually I intended to get the Navitimer instead of the Pam. However when comparing the standard Navitimer to the Pam I wanted the Pam a whole lot more. Then a couple of weeks later I saw the Navitimer World and not only is it as Navitimer the additional features and size where something I just had to have.

Thanks Richard. Yeah I am really glad now that I didn't get the regular Navitimer like originally planned. So far I have been really blessed. At times I just happen to stumble upon or just luck out and get the watch that I really like.

This passion as I call it is just so amazing.

I'm usually not a fan of Breitling, but I'm kind of liking this one... Don't know if I'd spend the money though - I'd want to put it all toward a Rolex!

Yep, thats how I first thought. But this one kinda grew on me.

I now have 5 Rolex watches and I wanted some other things as well. However Rolex will probably always be my favorite brand.

funny how that works. i have a couple of lings and im looking to add my first rolex. variety is the spice of life right?

The world is a nice large size watch that is still classic and if you have 5 rolexes im guessing this is a nice welcome to add some depth into your current rotation.

Yes it definitely was nice to get this one as it is trully different than anything I have currently. I do have a couple of JLCs, a Speedy Pro, and an IWC. So variety is trully the spice of life.

It's not a tool watch like my Rolex watches, it's not a dress watch like my JLCs, and it doesn't look or feel anything like my Pam or my Speedmaster. I got it because it wasn't any of these things.

However it works perfectly for me so it stacks up there perfectly with all the rest of the watches I own. That is the reason I got it in the first place.
