But it's missing the biggest debate among Rolex folks...

Is it Sub-mar-in-ur or Sub-mar-een-ur?

Ha, ha, ha: click on Rado. And how about the draft beer? Never heard of that watch brand before We Dutchies have a little advantage here: at High School, one foreign language is compulsory and most of us choose a second foreign language to that. Mostly German or French. German is easy to pronounce because of similarities and French was the primary second language (and our trade language) ‘till the seventies when it was replaced by English. English pronunciation is surprisingly difficult for us Dutch. Smith becomes Smis. The fake Dutch accent used by Mike Myers in Goldmember is just revolting and leans heavily on fake German.

Take care,

Frans.

Mike's Dutch accent in Goldmember may be bad, but his portrayal of how the Dutch behave is bang-on, Frans. Go ahead and admit it... you know it's true.

Aaaaargggg! Et Tu Atomic? First of all, it is FranS and not FranZ (for German), and another thing, Mike's 'performance' doesn't even come close , the truth is much worse

FranS

I figured Mike was toning it down. I dated a few Dutch girls in my singles days, so I have some good reference points.

As for the misspelling of your name... I don't know what you're talking about.

Ahhhh, Dutch girls - John you are taking me back to my single days......

The one I dated for a while was approx. 3 inches taller than I am - then she wore heels when we went out!

Oh well, it was "worth the stretch" in the end...

Um, Al... I hope we didn't date the same girl. One of the ones I dated was 6'1" and turned out to be the biggest b!tch I ever dated. LOL
