Dials for Datejust
I would like to have a Datejust 116234 (steel with white gold fluted bezel and Jubilee band) soon again.
I had the following link under my "Favourites": http://www.ashleys.de/de/rolex_configurator.html As you can see, the "watch example" is a DJ 116234 (with Oyster bracelet) and the dials come with Roman, Arab, Diamond and broad "Bar" dial-figures, the latter apparantly filled with SuperLuminova). Now to my question: I once had a 116234 with a silver dial like the dial bottom left. But it has just simple "thin" white gold bars as dial-figures and not those broad ones shown on the - otherwise very nice - silver coloured dial bottom LEFT. So is the "simple" design with "thin" dial-figures not availible any more?? BTW: If you point with your mouse on the various dial, the "watch example" gets the dial you point with your mouse at. Very nice feature!

Excellent link, Bo....thanks!!
That's the same model (116234) that I was looking at the other day at Mansor's when I went there with Don (sub2004). I don't care for luminova on a watch like that....so the one I really liked was with a white dial and WG Romans on the new Jubilee. Absolute beauty. The only thing that still puts me off is the 36 mm size. JJ

Sure, the Arabics look good.
But are the "simple, thin bars" not availible anymore? But I guess I can live with the thicker bars that have SuperLuminova in them. Have you noted that the silvered dial bottom left also has small Roman numerals around the edge of the dial?

To my knowledge, the "thin bars" are not available. Rhodium romans get my vote. It is such an understated combo.
