Ddii

i was really hunting down for this particular dial for my husband since march! took a flight to kuala lumpur once and once to taipei and once to hongkong just to look for it but it was not available. finally i found one at home (singapore) but it is now post 1st July which is after the 7% increase in price and after Rolex had imposed a strict new regulation on no discount policy (but i managed to get a minimal 5%) off. this particular dial with the gem-set roman index itself is much larger than the normal roman index, hence, it makes the bezel looks much more balanced with the entire watch imho. anyway, thanks heaven he likes it.

thanks for reading and cheers! .. jennifer

Just want to add that the lug width of the day date 2 is 22mm. It is 1mm larger than the oyster bracelet on my dssd! Cheers everyone. ;)

Nice watch , happy husband .... if you decide to divorce, just call me I'm in Paris and can become single if necessary ...

For the band , sorry but it's 21mm. Your DD-II President band ref is 83216 , and SDDS band is 98210, both are 21mm.

I have a 22mm Breitling rubber strap on my Deepsea right now the AD installed for me. It is a perfect fit. Where did you get your information from? Sorry I don't mean to hijack this thread.

Look at this , you'll see most modern Rolex band have their size coded in their reference number

Your right the dial on that model does balance the size of the face and bezel.

Hopefully he (James?) likes it otherwise I guess you might drive one of the other Italian exotics into the pool or something in a fit of indignant anger? (Sorry, couldn't resist. Just recalling a rather weird post one of you--your other half as I recall--gave on the Patek Philippe forum of another major watch hobbyist website).

Exceptional Day-Date, regardless!

Best,

Adam
