Unbelievable...

This is why I'm so hesitant to buy my first watch. So worried about keeping it. I want/need to belong to the keepers watch.

Heres my list.
Sub Date
SD
White Exp II
Omega Black or Blue Seamaster (aka Bond or Rolex Sub)
Omega White GMT Seamaster (aka the White Exp II of Omega)

I'll never decide.......
Need to just get them all

If you can seriously afford it, get TWO....that's right....just TWO of the ones you like the most!!

That way, you'll keep and enjoy them BOTH!!

Good luck - JJ

Nothing wrong with this, can you take your money with you when you die? Probably not would you even need it then? Did you earn every bit of your money? Yes, so who has the right to tell you what to do with a portion of your disposable income? Have you provided for your family? Yes, have you made a difference in your community? Yes, so in the big scheme of life what does it matter you have had twenty Rolex watches? I see nothing wrong with this. At least you’re not spending your money on drugs, loosing it on the tables, or doing something incorrect which has a negative impact on society. I know many people with different spending habits. Be glad you are not my friend who has nine sports cars half of them just sit in his warehouse collecting dust, he pays top dollar to insure these cars, and I feel he is a prisoner to the damn things. Another as you would say “mate” of mine can stop buying electronics he spent $100,000 USD on a home system and four years later ripped it out for another system costing about the same. So JJ does a few Rolex watches here and there seem crazy, not to me it’s all in the perspective of the person anyway. Rolex watches are expensive but there are far more passions you could have that cost more and give little in return. You have done nothing wrong in my book. I say save up and go for the third Rolex.

Agreed! Many people who know about my interests in watches just don't understand. I hear all the time..." It's just a watch." It's never "just a watch." Many of the people I encounter who don't understand the attraction to great timepieces blow their money at the casinos, own several motorcycles or have some other expensive hobby. You take care of your family and try to be a good person. If a grown man does that then he should not have to answer to anyone else about buying something as classy as Rolex watches.

It all comes down to values at the end of the day.... some value high perfomance V8 engines (my brothers spend 25k on a V8 no Q asked) or hifi equipment or computer equipment, or boats or motocycles... we just happen to like watches!

Honestly, I don't think so, Vernon....the reason being that I've now reached the end of my tether.

I've enjoyed virtually every Rolex model out there (except for the Daytona in which I'm not interested anyway)....and now I feel pretty saturated.

Amongst the new models, nothing really appeals to me except for the new TT GMT-II, but the price on that baby is way out of my reach for now.

Let's see what the future brings....and perhaps one day I'll become a 3-Rolex man!!

JJ
