Icon20 Ceramic GMT!

Hello TRF Members

I was surfing on the web and an idea came to mind. What would a Ceramic Pepsi GMT Master II look like? I looked it up on Google and of course someone photo shopped it!!!! What do you think of these? I think Rolex should make it!

For sure! These would look gorgeous! Just a question, can you put a Pepsi insert on the new GMT-II?

The old Aluminum insert onto a ceramic model, no.
The bezel ring size and connection to the case is completely different, so you couldn't swap the whole bezel either!

I like it. It's a nice option over the all black bezel.

I'd buy one for sure! I'm thinking of buying a GMT II or IIC right now and those pics make me want a IIC in case they do come out with these bezel options I can swap out the black!

If I had to pick I would get the GMT-II, because you can swap out the bezels and make the watch, a totally different looking timepiece. Picture borrowed from Jocke's website. www.watchwallpapers.com

This has to be rolex's next big move. I can't think if any models they could "skate by" with at Basel 2012 by simply updating minor features...

They owe us more then a jubilee bracelet in the DJII and more than an updated clasp and the YM lol

Here's hoping!

For sure mate! Rolex do need to update something, the GMT-II-C bezels would be a great add to their collection. I had a weird dream that Rolex made a 116610LN with the "SUBMARINER" printed in RED like the 1680!

I think it would be a great thing if they could figure it out. Hopefully the colors will look somewhat similar to the older version though. Unfortunately insert swapping would be a bit cost prohibitive, This is one of the things that makes the GMTII so much fun in the first place. A lot of flexibility.

Can't wait for the classic pepsi combo in ceramic.
Is there any reason Rolex would not make a Pepsi ceramic GMT II?

They have yet to be able to figure out how. Or at least that's the last we have heard. Something about an issue with cooling and using two colors on one ceramic disc. This has been a problem to this point that would have to be overcome to make this a reality.

Wow, really? I can't believe that would be the technical hurdle preventing them from selling it.
I don't feel like they have really redone the GMT until there is a new Pepsi bezel, guess it's going to be a bit of a wait.

I suspect Rolex will come through with new ceramic bezels for the GMT IIc and perhaps for other models.
