Big Scam with the new "orange" Explorer II

Be very carefull
Scammers buy the original with box and papers
and then replace the Rolex original with a Fake
watch which has been engraved with the exact
serial as the original.

This is a fake Explorer:

Wow it looks so real, even for those experienced WIS cannot tell it without handling them . This is even worse for those new WIS. Must be careful.

Good to know. With this knowledge, the crown looks too thick? Like a triplock?

How can scammers match the original Rolex warranty with fake watch?

There is an industy that caters to Rolex fakers
it produces fake papers, punch old warantees,
engrave serials, mix original with fake parts etc.

With brand new watches
Once the scammers get hold of the original warranty card
then they disassemble the fake watch copy and engrave the required
serial - just copy what they see in the new watch warranty card
then they sell the original "orphan" at a 30% discount without a box
or papers and the fake (with box and papers now) for the same discount.

Scarryyy. Do you mind posting more high res pictures of the fake watch? May be we could spot some obvious mistakes?

Thanks

Even from the crappy picture it looks like the hand stack is off . If it is only a fool would buy that. It seems just playing with the movement would be enough to send you packing.

This isnt anything we've not seen before...

This example has the mid case & crown winding thingy wrong as noted.

These are easily found for even less than $75 on the streets of Bangkok.

I have seen near perfect forgeries of DSSDs, GMTc's, you name it BKK has it.

These new E42's prolly started life as GMTc's, hence the wrong winder and mid case as seen here...

Its notta wonder these hv shown up now, the spy phods released last April; prolly had these fakers dumpin 'junk' soon after...
