Mismatched parts, non running and rusty...
"This auction is for a very rare and very early Rolex Explorer reference 6298 with 172073 serial. It is not running, and the movement is rough, but with some love and care, it might be an interesting project watch, or a great part watch. The watch is shipped assembled, and disassembly by a qualified watchmaker was done for the sole purpose of photographs. The bezel and crown, though likely not original to the watch, are in fact Rolex parts, and I would suggest that the original owner had the steel crown and bezel removed to better match the dial colour and make a dress watch of it. The item is from a recent estate and I believe the deceased owner was the original owner."
And its going for this much http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=110768228632 Makes me wonder what my fresh service all stock 6098 is worth
