how would one be able to tell if its legitimate once its acquired? I only ask because it is my first rolex.

I would take it to your local Rolex Authorized Dealer. If a local AD does not exist, I would at the very least try to take it to a higher-end watch repair preowned dealer.
Also, check what their 30k ratings are for...seems ok from my brief overview of it. |

all kinds of high end jewelry like cartier and theres a few rolex's and breitlings in there, is tourneau capable of checking authenticity.

Tourneau is probably not the best choice, but if you have no other option, take it to tourneau and insist that the watchmaker examine it.

i am going to be receiving this watch in a few days and any other tips which i should use to make sure its real would be appreciated, anyone with a djii if they could let me know some distinct things about the watch.
