FS: Near Mint Rolex Milgauss 116400GV Green Sapphire Incl. Box and Papers

Selling my Rolex Milgauss 116400GV, couple points to throw out; you should know that I am new to the forum and do not have any references, i'm trying to sell my first watch and have to start somewhere. Therefore I am cutting the price down to 5000$ guaranteeing you the watch is the cheapest Milgauss on this forum for the condition it is in. The watch as you can see, has NO DINGS NOR SCRATCHES ON IT WHATSOEVER. It is in absolute amazing condition and been given minimal wrist time. I have all the necessary Box and papers to prove authenticity. I will ship via FedEx (1-3 business days) fully insured. I will also be giving you a 2 week guarantee, for absolutely any concerns/problems or anything for that matter. I realize some of you may be uneasy due to the lack of feedback/references, therefore will do my best to provide as much as I can to ensure safety. Please PM me at any time if you have any questions.

The forum reserves the right to make spot checks.

This is a spot check..

Please post a clear photograph of the watch together with a piece of paper containing your username and today's date.

Failure to comply with this spot check within 24 hours will result in a sever restriction being placed upon your participation rights on this website.

Thank you

Not satisfactory.

Banning is final and permanent, no correspondence will be entered into.

Well done on banning him. He joined the forum and posted 16 posts on the 4th january 2012 between 05.36pm and 05.77pm then tried selling next day.

I friggin knew it. Offered to buy the watch from him, but have him send first - and I'd pay upon receipt, since he couldn't provide any references. He refused saying he was being 'showered' with offers - but then BUMPed it the same day, then posting it again the next. Spidey senses were tingling overtime....

Funny, refused to do a F2F meeting due to being "scammed before" - despite offering any payment method he was comfortable with (at that price, I would have gone to the bank with him). Good catch - clearly not above board on this.

Too good to be true.

Well spotted. Someone could have lost a lot of money. It's still for sale on the Canadian site

The ad says he only accepts Paypal. Does that mean that if boned, someone would get their money back after filing a claim? I was just surprised not to see Western Union or one of the other services usually used in scams.

Not if he pulls the funds out before you file the claim. Many scammers create PayPal accts. and then run several sales in short period of time. Skip with the funds.

Thanks 77T. I see. Unbelievable. I thought Paypal accounts were directly connected to bank and credit card info, so I was thinking the scammer could be found quite easily and wouldn't do it that way. I guess they must have fake bank accounts as well.

Their bank account is real - but disposable - they can use any identity they want. Like online banks in foreign countries. PayPal also provides a debit card so a scammer can spend down their balance to zero before buyers file.

Man, you're quick on the draw. You caught my text before my edit, which I did to thank you and tie it to you after I saw there were already several posts between us. I'd forgotten to click the quote button.

Seems to me that scammers have it all set up too conveniently to conduct business and that all the online outfits including Paypal should be doing more to thwart them. Thanks again.

Great job with the 'spot check' and the subsequent banning when he failed to comply. Obviously forum sale sections are Buyer Beware, but the effort made to protect your patrons is sincerely appreciated. Another reason I love this place.

X2....What he said. I was looking at that watch and the price was actually a bigger red flag than his zero references. Thx!

I also was a buyer on the condition that he send me a pic with the day's date and his username written. He said he'd do so but of course he didn't do anything but send a request for payment on PayPal. I've got the request if it would be of any use.

Said the same thing to me. I think it's funny how many people were trying to negotiate a deal even knowing it was most likely a scam, myself included.

Trf is amazing.
