Don't even give it a second thought, my friend.

A Sub-date (16610) in the blink of an eye!!!

Here's a stupid one. What is a Thunderbird anyway? Isn't it like a TOG or something? BTW even though I don't really know what the Thunderbird is go with the sub date.

Here's a picture of the new T-bird or TOG or Turn-O-Graph as they are called.

Oh so a Thunderbird is just a TOG. I personally like those, but IMO the sub is better.

I believe you are talking about the older T-Bird, not the new TOG? If that is the case then I say 16610 all the way. It will hold its value, but more importantly it will last many lifetimes. Let us know what you decide.

Yes, JJ, you have my permission to post the EXP.

And Tyler, stick with the Sub. It's more substantial looking than the TOG and holds its value better. You'll grow into the Sub. You'll grow out of the TOG.

If you want something that goes well with a suit, you need one of these:

Then definitely go with the Sub or the GMT if you want to be a little different. I like to think of the GMT as a Sub on steroids.

Well, I have to admit to a certain bais, in case you haven't figured that out yet, but I think both would go well with shirt and tie. I wouldn't say that about the Pepsi or black/red bezel versions of the GMT, only about the all black bezel. One reason I prefer the GMT is the red 24 hour hand. I think it adds just that bit of subtle flash that distinguishes it from the Sub, besides being practical if you are a traveler.

get the sub imho, it is the most flexible of the choice open to you.. alternatively the all black bezel GMT 2 if you would use the GMT function frequently.

If you do a lot of travelling, the GMT-II would be a more sensible buy.

If you are averse to bezel fiddling (like me ), then you should get yourself one of these!!

Not to break the circle of Sub love here, but given your profession and having actually worn a TOG (and being an owner of a sub-date), if I were you I'd get the TOG, black dial with oyster bracelet.

This is a *very* nice watch, will fit quite nicely under the cuff of a dress-shirt, is different than anything your bosses are wearing, and it's just a plain great watch. It's substantial, sporty, dressy, functional, and the red/black date wheel is a really nice touch too.

If you were like me, and worked in a more "physical" job I'd also say Subdate. But for a financial firm, I'd go with the TOG.

Besides, you wanna know a secret? You'll end up with a subdate eventually anyways, everyone does.

You know the absolute rule there, Micah? There are exceptions to every rule. And some of us GMT addicts are that exception.
