Which watch would a guy want?

I am not very familiar with Breitling, but my significant other is a watch nut. Since this is our first Valentines' day I was thinking of buying him one. Any suggestions as to THE ONE you would really like to receive from your lady?

They have a huge selection, if he likes a watch on a leather strap a Navitimer is a stunning watch, very dressy, not made for the pool or beach or you can look at the chronomats which come in a bunch of different dial colors

I'd recommend you give him a card and let him choose the watch.

The odds of getting him the one he wants based on recommendations from a watch forum are pretty slim.

which watch

I see you live in Florida. So you have a lot of water.
One thing to check is does the watch your looking at have a decent water resistance (WR) You will want at least 100 metres for swimming and light scuba and over 200m for deep sea diving.
Breitling have a large range of watches that fit the bill from the Colt upto the B01 Chronomat that can also be in gold, stainless and gold as well as stainless steel.
Other models such as the Airwolf are made of titanium. Very light and slim with a super accurate quartz movement.
Size is another issue. Many Breitlings are quit large. Over 42mm across and upto 18mm high for some of the divers watches.
I have a super Ocean. A great watch with day date and 500m WR measuring 42mm x 17mm. not too big for medium large wrists,
Good luck with your search.

He is a very lucky chap.

Navitimer, with the in house 01 movement if you can, otherwise the older one with the ETA movement is just fine, can be had at decent prices 2nd hand.

They wear fairly big though so ok as long as he doesn't have skinny wrists.

A little more info would be helpful. Are you looking for purely a dress watch, sports watch, or something that can go both ways? Leather, metal or rubber bracelet/strap? Any particular features you think he'd want? Dial colors that are a must or a must stay away from?

Without any more info, I'll go ahead and say that one I'd love to get is a yellow dial, titanium Seawolf Avenger.

with my very limited Breitling knowledge, it'd say either a B01 Chronomat or a Navitimer. they both screams Breitling IMO.

however, im a big fan of their SuperOcean Heritage 46 pieces, especially the non-chrono variants.

Guys love the Avenger or slightly bigger Super Avengers since they are sporty, waterproof and big

With Breitlings, you got to take into consideration that wrist size, since some of the Breitling watches can be very big for a small or medium wrist. Bentleys are really nice looking pieces, there are different versions of it, the also they have them in few sizes. I personally have a Bentley GT white face, really love that watch.
