Deal or No Deal

I have been after a Tudor Chronograph with a panda dial. After emailing and calling around, I found a place that has a NOS and a used Tudor Tiger Chrono with the panda dial. They are wanting $3295 for the NOS and $2495 for the used. They actually have a pretty impressive collection of NOS Tudors. I mentioned that I was in the market for a Valentine's gift for "she who is never wrong". The sales lady offered a two-tone Tudor Princess Date. I asked what else they had and she said we have some NOS white dial Mini-Subs. Bingo! That's perfect. She said they could do a deal for the used chrono and Mini-Sub shipped to me for $3900. I told her I'd have to think about it for that. Any one have thoughts on where I should be price wise? Thank you in advance for any advice!

She sent me some shots of the watches. I don't know if it's the lighting but the Mini-Sub looks like it might have a little bit of patina starting to show on it's plots.

Don't know, but nice watches for sure! Let's see what experts say, I'm curious too.

Hopefully Dan Pierce will be along soon and he would probably have more info for you. Of course it might help if you re-titled your thread Tudor Deal or no Deal. Tudor is kind of the Bat Phone or Bat Spot Light for Dan Pierce.

If I am in your shoes I'd choose the NOS Tiger.
NOS with papers and all is always a big plus.

Travis,
First I'd want to see pics of both Tudor chronos. Then you have to decide if either or both have the bezel and dial combo you prefer. The used Tiger price is on target [depending on condition], the NOS is a bit high, IMHO.
The asking price for mini subs are generally from $1100.00 to $1500.00. The package deal for both sounds good, but again, condition, and extras [box, papers] will have an affect on price.
Good luck,
dP

Dan,
I think I'll be making a road trip this weekend to get a look at them. Depending on the boxes, papers, condition, I'm going to see if I can get 15% out of them. Thanks for your reply.

Here's the deal I'm being offered. The preowned Tudor Tiger Chrono has no box or papers it was serviced in 2010. The Mini-Sub is brand new and comes with boxes and papers. They are including an appraisal for each. They said the best they could do was $3800 shipped to me. I'm torn between the pair for me and the wife and the NOS Chrono. AHHHH!! Decisions, decisions.

Can I get some opinions?

I'd offer $4k for the NOS Tiger Chrono with the mini-sub.
