GMT II Date setting

Hi,
Just got my new GMT II TT. I see nothing in the manual that precludes going backwards to set the proper date. This is a big no-no on some of my watches so if you can confirm it okay that would be great!!

Thanks !!

You can set the date by moving the hour (Mercedes) hand in either direction at any time of the day or night..

It does not have the quickset function so you are not bound by it's restrictions...

Thanks. Just had to be sure. Don't want to mess it up on the first day. Well it's set up for GMT time on the 24 hr hand and local (EDT) on the hour / min hands.

Still exactly on time (to the second) after two hours. Always check watches a bunch against the Navy clock when I first get them.

I think this an appropriate time to say THANKS TO ALL that helped me update my knowledge on Rolex. Have to admit they were at the bottom of my list of choices for years, but the recent improvements really do make them desirable. Even if 900,000 of them get sold each year.

Maybe a gold sub with a blue face next time. Especially if they put on a blue ceramic bezel and include the new movement spring.

Congrats! As Larry said the GMT II "de-couples" the 12 and 24 hr. hands. You're fine.
