Yep, Specialized E5

Yes, its a Specialized E5 (4 years old), and on the Central California coast. The picture is looking west; the Pacific Ocean is on the other side of the hills shown in the background.

Riding with Lemond...

I used to ride with Lemond (we shared the same trainer back "in the day.."), does that count?. I was in the last amateur race he did before going to Renault...

I was riding too, but I didnt ride for a long time now. Kept my bike in garage for almost 4yrs now. I should start riding again, got to stay fit

When those pics were taken the bike was less than 2 weeks old. The final fitting took place later when the steerer tube was indeed cut down. My fitter wanted to make sure I was comfortable on the new frame/fork layout before cutting it!

AJ I hope you didn't get your bike from SBR (I had a not so good experience with them).
Anyway, Cevelo is a top brand and Boras are used by the world's best.
You did get good advice on the steerer tube, unless you are fit as a fiddle, I find a more relaxing riding position is best achieved with some spacers on the steerer above the headtube.

Thanks Chris…she is a dream to ride. Even friends of mine who ride decent Truks love it when they have a go….you can tell where the money went that’s for damn sure.

Funny you mention carbon though, my next rig will be a steelie – made from that new Reynolds stuff – 953? Or something. That’s about a year away (at least!) though.

What MTB do you ride?

Hey Steve

No, not SBR although they had a pretty funky store from memory……they mainly peddle Colnago and that new brand……what was it? Not Kestrel, or Kona…..meh, it’ll come to me.

But yeah, I need to do a whole lot more stretching to get those ‘bars right down…..

But the campy stuff shifts like no other and the boras are BRILLIANT. I can’t describe enough how FAST the steering gets when they’re on there. They need special carbon brake blocks though so it’s a bit of a pain switching ‘em out…….

Yes, it does resemble with the MotoGP bike. That is the original Ducati Performance MotoGP tailpiece.
