Couldn't believe what I found this evening!

My AD has a BRAND NEW old stock Oyster Quartz! They've had the watch for years and can't sell it. Tam found it. Can't believe I had never noticed it

She said the boss would take any reasonable offer. They have it listed at $3900 and I'm wondering just how low one could go!

I have always liked them in pics, but I gotta say, that is the coolest Rollie I've ever seen. Man, if they put an auto in that case with that bracelet, I bet they couldn't keep 'em in stock.

Now, if I just had money...........

I'd buy it, haven't see one in years. The Edsel of Rolexes! I like the case design, and it is the Rolls of Quartz watches.

Cool Roger! Alt, I wish I could buy it. In about 4 months, if it's still there, it's mine! Since they've had the thing for years, it's quite possible :)

That is a very sharp looking watch, Bruce. I'd be tempted myself, but, no, I'll leave it for you.

You didn't read closely enough, D. Bruce said "In about 4 months, if it's still there, it's mine!" He's not cured. He's merely prolonging the agony.

I would buy a NIB OQ in a heartbeat. It would be sold if I had been there. =) maverick

You are "almost cured" pay attention boys!! It is a big step for the Bruce to go to the store and not come home with a watch. Almost unheard of.

I remember about two or three trips in a row to "look" that resulted in new purchases. Am I wrong? You are well on your way pal.

Hey Bruce,

Offer him $2500 and see if he bites....you've got nothing to lose! At $2500, it would be an absolute steal.

Good luck and try not to miss out on that watch!!

I know Daren. I gotta stay outta there. It's friggin' dangerous! I want that OQ and I saw a ss DJ with a smooth bezel I want. I'm really liking these smaller watches now. They actually fit under a shirt sleeve. That's like a new experience for me

But I must stay focused. I'm in the selling mode now. In about 4 months I may get one more...maybe. I want to wear the good watches into the UK and pack the cheapos in my carry on. That's how light I wanna be!

Sleeves, that is a strange concept for me, seriously. On Sundays when I wear a tie to work, it is always the YM, that is my small watch now.

I love the way the DJ looks on other wrists. My boss was asking me about my Panerai tonight, and I put his DJ on when he was trying on the 88. It looks perfect on him. I liked the look on me too, but just not my cuppa now. I am sure I will change eventually, always seem to anyways.

I love the look, styling and overall get-up of the DJ, especially the new ones....but I could never live with the size. Been there, done that and incurred a loss too!!

I'm not surprised, Adrian. OQs have always been very popular with the Arabs...in fact, Rolex had the largest share of the OQ market there. Just wonder whether your AD would be 'desperate' to off load his stock!!
