Need help with Valuation

Hi Guys,

Back in '05 I bought my first nice watch, and it was a Breitling. Well, I have sizably increased my collection and it is time to let some go. The Breitling is one of them. It just does not get worn anymore and I would like for someone else to enjoy it. My only issue is I don't know how much to ask for it. It is a Navitimer with the crown on the left side. They were a limited edition of 1000.

I have seen prices as high as $5200 but I think that is too high. They do not come up very frequently so it is hard to gauge what fair value is so I am looking to the experts here.

I have all the B&P that came as new.

Thanks you all for your help.

The best way by far to decide how much to sell your watch for is to learn what others are selling it for. Do a search of the sales sections of this and other major forums (be sure to include BreitlingSource) for similar offerings.

If that fails to produce results, take it to an AD and see what they'll give you for it on a trade-in. The price they quote will be wholesale, of course, (they want to turn around and sell it at a profit) but at least you'll have a starting point.

Good luck!

Also try watchrecon. It'll save you a lot of mucking around, to narrow your search select the past 31 days and Breitling models only, this will save you a lot of time and hopefully give you a rough market value/starting point.

I have sold this piece before.. I would say anywhere between £1,500 to £2,500

Good luck
