Hi there, welcome aboard!

It looks like the bracelet is pretty well punched on that DateJust and it probably hasn't had a RSC service for a while. I'd peg it at around $1,200 - $1,500 as is.

P.S. You should drop into the New Members forum and introduce yourself.

Al: I think you're being pretty optimistic about the value of that watch, 'as is'. It's pretty rough to be honest, and I would think, tops out, at $1000.00. Now, if it gets a new crystal, and an overhaul, and has the case and bracelet cleaned, at that point it might bring $1500-$1700 around here(no more because I'm guessing that crystal is plastic and not sapphire? ) Clean up costs might be high, so that needs to be checked out, thoroughly. Also there is a substantial difference in market prices in Japan on used rolexes vs. U.S. or Europe(and I do not pretend to know those numbers). Good Luck, and welcome to TRF!
best, dan

You might be closer to target than me on this one, Dan. With any used Rolex I factor in $600 or so for a RSC service, and I that into consideration when I guesstimate the value of a watch. This one has seen better days, but most of that can be sorted out with an RSC overhaul. The issue would still be the worn bracelet though, and we know that can be spendy.

Welcome to TRF!

I hate to agree with Dan ( ), but I think he is right about the price.

I agree with the others. This one will cost quite a bit to get looking presentable and it will only be worth a bit more than the cost of the overhaul.

If it's a labour of love then it would be worth it.

At xmas time our local pawn had a authentic DJ tt and it sold for $2100.

I stopped in to see it and it was in pristine condition.

If you brought this watch to excellent condition it would be a few bucks.

I dont know the value but I wouldnt pay much over $1000 personally.

It's a $1000 watch that needs a crystal, wich will be $45 if plastic, $180 if sapphire, $400 for an overhaul, and the bracelet replaced.
