Should I be careful?

http://cgi.ebay.com/mens-rolex-watch...QQcmdZViewItem

Two of this persons listings say they live in Sellersville PA and the other listing says Colmar PA....strange.

1 feedback and it's negative - RUN and RUN fast. That's just basic eBay smarts.

Actually have 3 positives and 1 as a buyer and has never sold anything. My only point here is I live within 2 miles of this person and can hold then to task regarding authenticity.

The dial looks to be aftermarket. Note how the 11 and 1 o'clock markers don't line up properly with the day. Also, the day is not all the way in view which leads me to believe something is awry. Don't walk. Run.

1. Member for less than a month

2. Not good feedback

3. Blurry picture, not very many pictures

4. $1725 on a gold DD, and the reserve is already met?!?!?!

5. No info as to year, series, anything.

6. No way Rolex would have serviced it without replacing that hideous dial.

7. The day is way off.

Run Forest, RUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!

BTW, I looked at his buyer feedback... Who the hell buys pheremone concentrate?

Seriously, He bought to things of pheremone concentrate for attracting women, a used hollister shirt, and then bid on a model but didn't purchase it (for a whopping $8.00 shipped). Someone who is bitching about buying an $8.00 model doesn't strike me as someone who can afford a DD of any year, however someone who buys pheremones and used designer clothes to try to hook up with women strikes me as someone who would have a fake watch.

Now, if you must have this watch, and you live close, off to pay him in cash at the local AD after it checks out ;)

Here's another one he's selling:

http://cgi.ebay.com/womens-rolex-wat...QQcmdZViewItem

Assumeing he's a man, why would his mother give him a women's watch?
And the date magnification looks horrible on this DJ to me.

Plus the upper right lug in the picture shows some of the gold flaking off. Someone just spent $1,400 for a $50.00 Canal St. special...damn

Go AD or go home...JMHO. You felt like you got screwed by your AD, wait until you get it from an Ebayer...Then you will really have something to gripe about. Good luck.

Well Mr Bear if you put a deposit down on a watch then told you will have it in 10 days and had a receipt for a balance due THEN one week later you call that AD and they tell you that you are now 3rd in line and by the way I will not honor the balance due if there is an increase would you look at that as being screwed? I pulled cash back and went to an AD that earned my business as well as respect and got it before the increase at 10% off and no tax.

The topic of this thread is Watch Out, so why do you think I posted this info here? Now he is about 1 mile from me so I was contemplating bidding then paying him a visit as I may have been able to opportunistically get a real one at a low price. OK?

Look it is another gift watch:
"this was given to me as a gift from my mother"

Spelling isn't a strength:
"LOOKING FORWARD TO DOIN BUSSINES WITH"

Mark...you know better If the guy is selling one fake Rolex, what makes you think the other one is real? Don't let your hopes override your common sense.

I hope I don't get in to trouble by e-bay but I warned the guy who got the winning bid for the Presidents watch. I wrote to him several times and directed him back here to look at all of the feedback concerning the listed watches.

He won it for $3,789 so hopefully I saved him from getting ripped off.

Now I see they got pulled so hopefully e-bay was notified that they were fakes.

I just hate seeing somebody lose their hard earned money. Most of us work too hard to get ripped off by some low-life scum.
