Great live video of the SD4C

This gives a much better idea of how the dial looks in real life.

Looks awesome. Might not be able to resist this one though the price does have me a bit. Thanks for sharing!

Looks better than dreams good. I wished he would have ratcheted it and used the glide lock. What was he thinking?

This was also the first thing I wish he had done. If I had to guess, I would say it carries a sub c clasp, and Rolex left the super engineered one to the deepsea.

It looks nice but for some reason that I can't put my finger on, it doesn't seem to look the way I hoped it would.

Let's just say I won't be rushing to trade my 114060 anytime soon and it won't knock the 214270 off my shopping list.

I like this watch just trying to figure out if I like it that much more than a sub c date for the money. Still would like to know the thickness. As for the dial, I'm sure I'm alone on this, but I'd have liked to have seen them frame the date box with the same white gold they framed the hour markers with to make the dial a little more balanced. Obviously with a cyclops you don't have to worry about balance but I think it would have been a nice touch on the SD.

OP Thank you for the link.

Love it, especially the dial. I will have to get used to the end links being longer than the lugs...

I would also love to know the thickness. My impression is that, because it is thicker, the new SD should wear larger then the Sub C (which, in turn, many say wears like a 42mm watch).

As for having white gold surrounds on the date, I believe their reasoning is to make the date as integrated to the dial as possible.

I don't think a matte and often grey looking dial matches with a shiny ceramic bezel, matte bezel would be better. Also it looks a little too thick for a 40mm watch in my eyes, 42mm would have been better, and I don't need the extra WR. Subc is still my preference.
