need some info

hey all,
I am negotiating with a fellow on the purchase of a sub that he says is around 10 years old.he is playing dumb as to the authenticity but says the serial numbers are :93253 6248 19 m12
now does that sound like he got those numbers off of the band?
do those numbers even coincide with band numbers?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I agree with both Skutt50 & Frostie. Anyone that sells, & buys Rolexes KNOWS where serial numbers & model numbers are & what they mean. I wouldn't trust anyone that doesn't.......IMHO.

Steven, the "93253" is the strap code for a SEL 18kt/SS Sub strap...the 6248 ( and often 6253) are numbers many fakes have actually on the SEL as a code .... I believe the "M12 " is the clasp code which would denote a 1988 date for the strap!!
RUN FORREST RUN!!!
IMHO
