Steven, I personally have never seen or heard of a watch bearing "RSC" as a serial number, however since those 3 letters around here refer to Rolex Service Centre..maybe the original serial number had been worn/sanded off and the new number was applied during a service. Same goes for the model number, certainly looks recently applied!! Unless someone else here can elaborate would make me very leary...
