Incoming: Speedmaster 9300 Titanium Blue

Hi all. I am very happy to be joining the Omega family with my Speedmaster Titanium Blue (what I like to call the Blue Side Of The Moon).

The journey to this one was a little bit circuitous. I was ready ready for a new pick-up to mark an achievement, and started by looking at the Rolex Bluesy Submariner and the PAM00512. Both very different, I know. Tried on a Bluesy and just didn't like it as much as I thought I would. Liked the PAM00512 alot (and still do) but just wasn't sure.

At the same time, I had really liked the DSOTM, pretty much since it first came out. Huge amount of respect for the 9300 movement, loved the two sub-dial layout and of course the all ceramic set-up was intriguing. So I went to the Omega boutique to try it on and loved it. But I tried on the Ti Blue as well, and really, really loved that one. The color is a wonderful, understated blue that works perfectly with the muted look of the titanium metal. And the titanium is great because it makes what is a relatively large watch much lighter to wear. It was a tough choice between the DSOTM and the Ti Blue (would love to have both ), but in the end the Blue pushed all the right buttons. Found a LNIB at a fair price from a great TRF seller, and pulled the trigger.

Really happy with this pick-up.

Nice one! Cal. 9300 is my favorite Omega movement. I also think you made the right choice. The DSOTM is nice but the steel and Ti versions that come with a bracelet are more attractive and versatile in my opinion.

I didn't even know the Speedy 9300 came in blue or Ti. Great pick up!
