A question about Daytonas
Hello everyone,
Are the ceramic bezels and precious metals the only differences between the "new generation" of Daytonas and the current SS models? Is there no other difference in the bracelet, case, mvt. components, etc? My reasoning is that, if these are, in fact, the only differences, any update in the SS models would only mean a new bezel material, as the major upgrades are usually rolled out in precious metals first. Thanks. This makes me think that, even though they are about ten years old, the SS daytonas should remain virtually the same for quite some time still.

Agree. Daytona should remain the same. Barring some breakthrough in movement materials. I guess they could make it larger, but I hope not.

I think we are in small company in that sentiment (at least on this forum it seems), but agree, I think 40mm is the perfect size for the Daytona.

I agree, I don't think the ss will get a ceramic bezel.

My wish for the SS Daytona you can keep your ceramic insert, just make a homage to the 6263 with a aluminum insert and same dial layout. Now that will be a good improvement to the current SS Daytona, ceramic in watches not really needed as the up side of ceramic has many downsides that cancel out the up side.

frankly I didn't like Daytonas before they made them with ceramic bezels, but just a question of taste, like my 116515 in ivory when 80% of the clients want chocolate dial, in other words absolutely unreadable dial, and to my taste when I had both side by side, the ivory is way nicer...
