Just wanted to say hello to my fellow TRF members. I have been lurking and reading some great info about rolex and its history. I still feel very much like a rookie as there are a wealth of info.

My focus since I have signed on was to learn as much as possible. lol When it's time for me to purchase my first rolex, I can make a somewhat informed decision. I am digging the more modern look of the Sub, GMT II and Explorer II. If I have to choose one at this moment, it would almost be a toss up between the sub and GMT II but the GMT II would win out.

Thanks guys! I have given it some thoughts and I think the biggest benefit to owning a rolex is that I can pass it down to my son. I would love to pick up an Explorer II from 1977 at a later time but now the search is for a GMT II.

Welcome from another new member. You can't go wrong with a GMT master II (IMHO). I love mine.

Welcome. I just purchased a Submariner TT here on TRF, and I love it. Sooo, a GMT ii is next for me. I was stuck between the sub and GMT for a long time.

Enjoy.
