Root beer price advice?
Hi guys, as you know, not long since become a member, and it seems this place has all the answers. so;
Having just bought a GMT II c and am fairly happy with it, i feel i miss out my old GMT II. I dont want 2 SS watches, and have always had a hankering for a Root Beer, (not sure if it will suit though, i love blusey, but cant somehow carry it off) How much would i expect to pay for a Root Beer GMT II in resonable condition maybe 5 or more years old? How often do they come up, why are they not so sought after? (have read some Root Beer posts) and i have never bought a Rolex used, what does this mean to the warentee card being in someone elcesname etc? I prefer the bracelet with the same links as the SS, ( i think that is the president?) but am told there were two bracelet options, does this affect the price, and which does the forum prefer? Thanks for your help guys, i have looked thorough the for sale ads here, and wished id have got my GMT IIc from here as i would have saved 2k or more. I have always bought new from my AD what advice can be given in respect to a used GMT? Having read the for sale items here i would feel confortable buying of TRF members as everyone seems helpfull, genuine and knowlegable (i lurve TRF!!!)

Do you mean one of these? I probably paid little more than if I sourced privately, but buying from an AD does give me peace of mind regarding authenticity and warrantys

I paid about $4,500US for mine, and it is in pristine condition and was produced in 1995. The newer, the higher the cost - probably in the $5,000-$6,000 range. They can be found available, but not anywhere near as often as the Pepsi/Coke models. There just weren't that many of them manufactured, hence they are more difficult to find. Why are they sought after? Just look at mine... I rest my case!!!

Just picked up a '79 1675/3 - the "Clint Eastwood" one worn in a couple of his movies.
GORGEOUS does not begin to describe this! Oh, and Jubilee for tradition, but i think Oyster is a stronger bracelet?

Here's a picture of mine. If memory serves me well, then low $4,000s.
