Raymond Weil

Hi Guys,

I was looking last week at a few watches and the store down the street had some Raymind Weil watches. I was trying them on and they looked real nice. Does anyone know anything about them?

they seem to be priced a bit cheeper then Rolex watches but not much cheeper.

Thanks,

Eric

You kidding us Eric, right???
Comparing RW to ROLEX ?
In Europe they are 5-6 times cheaper, around 500-1500 euros ...
just fashion watches, mostly quartz or basic automatic....nothing great about them, although some look ...eermmmm .... cute.

Not all RW watches are fashion watches.

This one is a stunner, quite large on the wrist, excellent finish, the Valjoux 7753 movement and a quarter of the price of the Daytona (street price).

I was just summarizing the main idea about RW Paul.

There are nice lines among RW but the thing is that....you can't compare them to Rolex.

For a company founded just in 1976, it is a descent brand (actually many companies with just 10 years of life have gotten already to a high status in the watch world).
And you can find nice cronographs for £500 but still they aren't Rolex.
The watch you posted is nice but it will not last the 150+ yrs that the Daytona will.

I agree with you in the main, Milas though I must say that my wife's Parsifal has been on her wrist for 9 years and it still looks as good as ever.

I have worn the Nabucco and it really does feel like a JLC ExtremeChrono on the wrist.

I wouldn't bet against 150 years, with regular servicing and for just £1500 (with discount).
