Tag Carrera Tachymetre
My mate just got one of these today, and I don't know much about Tag's movements etc, but what a great looking watch...

As far as Tags go, the Carrera is a very nice watch. It uses the Val 7750 movement and is very dependable. My bosses son has one and has had no problems with it at all.
I have never been a real Tag fan, but in the last 5 years, they have made some really nice automatic chronographs, including the Monza, Carrera's, and some really nice remakes of the Classic Monaco's including the Steve McQueen watch like he wore in the movie LeMans. They are now producing some higher end caliber movements that seem to be moving the Tag line into a higher catagory much different from the old Aquaracer lines of past.

The Carrera is a great looking watch. The only complaint I've heard is scratching the bezel. Not sure how easy it is to scratch or replace if damaged.
I agree with Mort. The Tag Heuer Classic series are nice examples and the newest lines are bringing Tag back into it's former glory. I love my "Steve McQueen" Monaco. dP
