Welcome to the Forum!
Looks like a very nice watch, Mk-5 with a service insert. What is the year of production (first three digits of the serial number)? |

Welcome to TRF!
That is indeed a very nice 1675. However, based on the serial number, it has the wrong dial. MK 5's were produced in the mid to late 70's. Your serial corresponds to a 60's production date. |

You're right the dial and hands may have been serviced threw the ages.

As said, needs a gilt dial, small arrow hand set and insert for period correct. But it is a very nice GMT and should be enjoyed as it is. Welcome.

I agree with Mike. There is also the possibility that if the serial number is in the high 1.4 range, say 1.49XXXX, it could have come with the Mark 0 white-lettered dial which looks like the last gilt dial found on the GMT except the lettering is white. Either way, it would have the small 24-hour hand set as Watchcrank mentioned in his reply.

Hi Folks !
Thanks to you and all the literature around, I'm positive it's a "service" T-25 Mk5 dial and hands though not the actual "service" Mk6 dial. I guess these parts were flipped in the end of the 70's decade. My "thin case" 1.46... serial should have a gilt or Mk1 + small arrow and fat font bezel but these are museum pieces by now. The lume spots are now dead but the hands still blur a second or two evenly when flashlighted... Both kept an even off-white patina. I found a matching 7836 with 280 end links bracelet from I-70 to replace the Tudor oriented set that was on. From time to time, I stick an authentic Cappuccino all black insert on the bezel and a tropic strap to keep the watch under the radar when traveling. Amazing piece which made me a "one-watch" guy threw the years. After 5 years of duty, still keeping great accuracy with a minus 1 second per day ! She should hit the desk this year for a good service. |

Wow, talk about a delayed update!! But all good!
Nothing wrong with service parts, as long as you know about them and you're happy.Very nice-looking GMT! |

A few night shots of the Tritium "activated" by a black light torch :
![]() ![]() White a loupe, you can see a few dots still sparkling on the hour plots. The hands are twinkling in green for a few seconds. Night or day, they always keep sparkling gently. ![]() ![]() I managed to order a brand new 78360/580 bracelet to spare the old one. |
