Wawrinka AP watch?

Does anyone know which AP model Stan Wawrinka has been wearing in Roland Garros? The color of the case looks TI, and it is a 42mm ROO on rubber. New model or the old TI bracelet model converted to rubber?

Looked like new grey themes to me. He played with ceramic diver and 44 ceramic last year.

Great two weeks on Roland Garros for AP. Serena as brand ambassador won WTA tournament and Warwinka is in the final tomorrow.

He actually plays with them? I thought only Nadal played with ultra light RM Nadal models, strange the AP's don't bother him as they're not exactly lightweight watches...

Nothing is as light as Nadal. BUT the ceramic AP's are extremely light and could easily be worn playing tennis. The KEY for RM is the movement and the shock that it can take during play--in talking with Mr. Papi this week, I can tell you the movement design for the new Nadal is even more important than the weight.

Yes, he plays with mentioned models last two years. He wears various APs off court. Serena Williams also play with ladies ROO on the wrist.

Not so sure it's the 42mm SS grey themes. The color of the metal looks different and it would be unusual for a brand ambassador to wear the watch in a non-standard configuration (the grey model doesn't come on rubber). To me it looks like something new is in the horizon...

No way AP would have a watch worn by him publicly that wasn't officially launched

looks like 44mm grey theme with rubber strap
hmm this means that AP ROOs are quite robust. In reality, it seem that watch do not need to withstand 50g of shock in order to strap on to play tennis. Marketing ploy from RM exposed.

Wawrinka plays the single back hand compared to Nadals double back hand though...

It's not a 44mm ROO model. See the pushers here: http://img.crunchsports.com/crunchsp..._475978576.jpg
I see three possibilities:either the old TI 42mm grey dial or the new SS 42mm grey dial, converted to a rubber strap; or a completely new model being pre-launched by Stan. If it is one of the existing models, it would seem weird to see an official brand ambassador wearing the watch on rubber when this is/was not within the standard specs of those models.

but it makes sense to change it to rubber strap as the perspiration will damage the leather strap. so my guess is that it is the 2014 roo grey theme with rubber strap or was it the black panda with rubber strap . can't really decipher from the pic.

Honestly, it seems the 'old' Titanium Grey Themes. On rubber, it's absolutely light...

Pic is too small to view red accents like on Ti model, but pusher guards look like old 42mm and not new 2014 grey themes...

I heard that first Warwinka's AP, the Bumblee Bee, was a gift from Novak Djokovic when he was official AP ambassador.

In official AP articles they name Stan Wawrinka and Serena Williams as "friend of the brand"

Looks like older Ti 42mm. Case color, lack of pusher shine of ceramic, and harder to tell in pics, but new grey themes has a chrome ring around date window that doesn't appear to shine in those pics.

Ti on rubber strap seems to be the logical choice as well.

I just spoke to WaWa between change overs & confirmed that it is the older 42 Ti. 😂🍻

Lol. Can I take it what I said back. I just saw the interview that Stan the Man gave McEnroe and now I think it's the new Grey with the ceramic pushers. Who the hell knows but it looks great and WaWa pulled off one of the biggest upsets of all time. He played a flawless match and he was a 5-1 underdog. Way to go Stan. 🍻🍻

You know you're a WIS when during the French Open final you pause the TV and rewind to play back in slow motion because you saw an AP on the wrist.

Yes, I did it, several times. New gray themed 26470 on rubber.

PS. If anyone is interested in getting a good look at virtually the entire AP line-up. Just watch the new Entourage movie. Clearly the AP marketing department was working overtime as EVERY lead character in the film wears an AP (some even change models).
