Leaving watch on its side and bracelet stretch?

I couldn't find anything with search.

Will leaving a watch on its side overtime lead to bracelet stretch?

I understand bracelet stretch is actually caused by dirt and friction, but I'm curious if leaving the watch on its side often will strain the links in a different way.

I prefer to keep my watches on their sides to minimize the amount of contact between the case and bracelet. So this is good to hear.

I like to keep the watches that I keep on rotation outside of a case, so it's convenient to lay them out like this.

And considering the DD is a bit on the heavy side, I wanted to make sure I'm not straining the bracelet, long-term wise.

Oh man! Don't lay them like that, especially the Sub with the RubberB!

I always keep my SS OP on its side to slow it down. With over 28 years of doing so, it has not affected the oyster bracelet. YMMV
