Icon5 New 2 Rolex, Did I do good?

Just wondered if this was a smart purchase last year? Do you think this is something that will retain it's value? Any other comments on it?

Really depends on how much you paid for it. Most Rolex do hold thier value to a certain extent due to price increases by Rolex.

However diamond dial Datejusts if you are looking to sell are a bit hard to match up a buyer with the seller.

Did you have the watch authenticated before you bought it? Did you buy from a trusted seller? I would take that watch in and have it authenticated and serviced at a local Rolex Authorized Dealer. Good luck.

Mmh.. the crown looks a bit too big. But, like the others said, take it to a jewelry store/Authorized Dealer and let them take a look at it.

+1, the crown & date don't look right to me either but I'm not a DJ expert. Good luck & let us know what the AD has to say.

The date is not right, and in the top pic the bracelet link to the case looks incorrect.

I suggest you take it to a watchmaker and have it verified.

First thing that caught my eye was the date looked weird, but I agree that the crown looks too big too.

Does not look authentic.

I wonder what happened to the person who generated this post? Curious if it was taken in for verification?

I wrote him a private message as he lives in Lansing and I head down there once a month. I was asking if he knew of any authorized dealers in the Lansing area and he never responded. I think he got offended and ran away.

Could just be a bad picture of a used watch. However, I don't know about the date, the bezel, and even the font/crown size.

Looks fine, it´s a ladies Datejust, not a 36mm one.

Diamonds are best when on ladies watches like this, but for men, it would be a bit harder to match buyer/seller indeed. You must love diamonds to wear them :)

Congrats on your purchase!

Regards,
