Breitling Chrono SuperOcean

As i'm always on the hunt for watches that will be added to my collection, the other night I decided to look at Breitling. Always felt they were very nice, a great tool watch that also looks excellent. After comparing all the models in my catalogue and online the one that appealed to me most was the Chrono SuperOcean. I'm a dive style watch lover indeed and the pre owned costs seem fairly good for later down after my Rolex needs are satisfied. Just wanted to see what some of you thought and if any of you here owns one or more of these. Any feedback is welcomed.

Yeah I think it is an excellent add too. Just so there is more brand variety then my brands owned would be Fortis, Omega, Breitling and of course Rolex. Seems like a sweet deal to me, also pre owned there was on on the internet at The Breitling Source from "Markjnk" a seller in my province for $2,050.00

http://www.breitlingsource.com/phpBB...pic.php?t=2792

Old listing yes but just gave me a good range for a nice pre owned.

That is a great price for a watch like this, with such quality and a brand with a special history.

Ah did not know there was pics of it on the forum, had that been known to me it would have been searched. Not sure if there will be a chance to do so until later so if you could be so kind as to post the link here that would be great

Awesome The braceslit on yours, the Professional II is the one I would want on my watch for sure. Such a well constructed watch and the deals on pre owned are indeed tough to turn down!

I'm thinking of one of the new Superocean Heritage. Throwback style, 46mm and 38mm. Cheap too - low 3K range MSRP. New for 2007.

Blue w/rubber

Black w/rubber

Blue on Steel classic bracelet

Oh, and new for 2008... Superocean Heritage Chronographe

I know! See the thing that attracts me more to these are not just the function but how unique they are. Wearing that your likely to be the only one wearing anything like it most places you go. That is sometimes great.

$3K... If it was half that price I'd buy one online right now. That thing makes it move...

Well for $3,000.00 I feel it is a deal for what your getting. Always had a desire for this brand deep down inside over the years but it is only surfacing more recently. Some pre owned ones you can find very reasonable thought so look into it who knows.

I got it because the circular slide rule took me back to my old engineering school days. Damned if I can't still use it.

Damn you TheDude for posting that! Now I have to have one of those, the sight of it struck me like a fish club and now it's burned in my mind!

j/k ;)

Seriously though, I have to have one of those beauties eventually. I agree that 3K is a deal for a deadly piece like that. That is one of the most killer looking watches I've ever seen not to mention a premium timepiece.

Certainly a lot of prestige etc behind it. Even thought Rolex is my favourite sometimes these types of watches draw me into them. Having a nice all in 1 tool watch can be so handy and cool to have.

46-301 or 46-302 with the Ocean Classic Bracelet is what's melting my butter. I feel like I've had a spell cast upon me...

That only means the watch is "smiling back at you" so to speak lol. My main attraction is the fact it is so unique.

I've always liked Breitling but they are so busy, I can't see all the functions any more without a pair of reading classes too.

Well yeah. I like it both ways having that if there are other watches. The all in 1 tool watch is great but i'm mostly into the nice dive style ones that look good for any setting. The Navitimer is so nice but the thing is totally cluttered.

Oh My God!

Gifts to the best man have sure went up since I got married eons ago. Can I be your best man in the; "Do over"?

I like.............................................. ..........Philippe Dufour watches and am willing to wait the two years to get one.

You're a swell friend to have. He must have been shocked.

haha.. he actually hasnt gotten it yet... wedding is in a month... Its a LOT of work being a best man... he had to plan a 10 person bachelor party to Vegas, and I don't think I touched my wallet once in the 3 days I was there... I'm sure it'll probably be a break even for him. ;) Plus, this worked out well--- he loves Breitling's and orange faced watches with leather straps... The ability to swap out the straps I think makes this a cool thing...

Oh, I still have to buy FI her watch... ;) Running out of time for that!

I like Superocean Chrono! It`s remarkable watch for a fair price!
And, about it`s movement...you just cannot go wrong with Valjoux 7750!

That is what helps to make it more attractive. How much watch you get for the money with no shortage of history and prestige.
