Real or fake day date

Hello friends. A person I know was wearing this Rolex the other day. I was wondering if it's real or fake? I am sorry if I have posted this on the wrong forum.
The person is a millionaire but wears cheap/fake stuff hence my curiosity.

Thanks for your inputs.

dial looks champagne, but hands look black. not sure about that.
from the picture, the fluted bezel looks crude. can't really tell 100%

Can't tell from that picture (not that I feel experienced enough to tell you for sure either way), but I can say that although I don't know what your motivation is to investigate this persons watch, I can't imagine a good reason.

If it's real, then what? If it's fake, then what? I don't want to play psychologist here but the information really can't help you unless of course you're buying it.

If it's not your watch or your not buying what right do you feel you have to post/question some one else's watch without there consent?

Sel fit is only a tell on a cheap rep, higher end reps have corrected this long ago, hands are gold, they just look dark in the pic. There's no real way to tell with this one picture, you'd need several color close ups from all angles for anyone here to say definitively whether that watch is real or not.

As fake as the day is long. Bezel is way too wide even for a DD2

I kind of agree with you.

If we had a straight on close up we could tell you. Also tell him to at least get it fitted correctly. It looks awful hanging like that.

That bezel looks like the hub cap of something George Jetson would drive.

No way to tell from that picture. I always say fake until they prove it. I've been on cruises at the dinner table where guys would wear their rolex at the dinner table. Then I would tell them nice watch. Ask them if I could look at it. I would show them my sub. Then I would adjust the time and the fakes adjust backwards from the real rolex at least since the 3035 came out. I would reset the time and hand it back. I would never embarrass them but a lot of people are full of it.
