No lazer etched coronet on new GMT IIc?
I just realized that I can't see any lazer etched coronet on my new GMT IIc! It's an M71xxxxx series bought i week ago just delivered to my AD from Rolex so it's one of the newest from the factory I guess.
It's supposed to be at the edge of the crystal 6 o'clock right? Is it this hard to see it or have Rolex stopped engraving it? I am actuallya little worried right now Regards

You can get a Loupe (10X) and angle it a certain direction. You can do a search of this board to see how it's done. |

You can also shine a light down on the watch from the 12 o'clock position and it should pop out. Either way, your m serial GMTIIC should have the LEC.

This was my trick for revealing the LEC. Hold you watch into the setting sun at waste height, sloped down at around 45 degrees, then a slight tilt to the left or right will show the crown. Trust me, i could not find mine for ages! But rest assured the little blighter is there.

Still can't see it
Okay, thanks.
I still can't see it, but if it's that hard to see I guess I have no reason to worry

Yesss! I got it!
Holding the watch in my hand, looking closely from the 12 o'clock position and using a flashlight from 6 o'clock I saw it.
Wow! Thats incredible hard to see unless you get it right, and then suddenly it's so visible.

The best way to find the etching is to take a macro picture of the crystal. Shoot in highest resolution and good lighting... you'll find it.
