GMT-IIc +7 after second regulation in 3 months! Now what!?

I bought my GMT three months ago, below are the chain of events:

-After 3 weeks it was running -8 to 10 seconds a day
-Take it in for regulation and it runs perfectly for about 3 weeks
-After that it slowly loses time and finally about a month and a half it was losing about -7 to 9 seconds a day
-At this point I started to wonder if I should take it in since I've already had it regulated and I had the watch for not even 3 months, I called Rolex and they said I should definitely bring it back in
-Now less than a week after my second regulation, the watch is +7 seconds a day

I don't want to take it in again but would like your advice. I wouldn't have taken it in the second time if the person at Rolex hadn't been so adamant about it. Is something wrong with my watch, how can RSCNY regulate it twice and it can continue to be so off? Your feedback is appreciated!

I would wear your watch for about a month and see what happens. The watch may "settle" in over time. If it continues to be +7 sec/day, which is outside of COSC, then I would send it back in. BTW, your watch is not magnetized accidentally, right?

If the case, as you state it, is accurate. and you wear it normally and do not do unusual activities..

I would say this is not normal functioning of a Rolex watch.....expecially the GMT IIc..

Occasionally a lemon turns up in the bunch.........

I would agree. You should not have any accuracy issues with that watch.

Bought mine Jan 8th. To RSC for the same problem in april.

Now between -1.5 to -3.0 secs a day.

I dont get it really.

At 11:00 am every day i log on to the atomic clock, write the time down and the variance.

Some days it doesnt lose a second, then in 5 hours -3...

From the last time I set the watch on 7/9, in six 24 hour periods I lost 12 seconds..

Good enough for me.

When i got the watch back from RCS the first 4 wks perfect!!!

Wonder what happens to the GMT ?
