A challenge for the Rolex Experts
I have been trying to identify the model of my father's Rolex, considering to sell it; but I haven't found a book or site that have many pictures of vintage Rolex.
This is the description: Men's Rolex Oyster Very similar to SPEED KING models from 1940's or early1950s. The case is all stainless steel and indeed it is a Rolex Oyster case and smooth bezel measure 33mm in diameter (aprox). Manual winding movement. gold dial with applied gold hour markers, matching gold dauphin hour, minute and seconds hand. The Rolex crown is located where the 12 number should be located. The only other numbers in the dial are 3, 6 and 9. Under the Crown it's printed "Rolex" and right under it "oyster". Nothing is engrave in the back. Any information about it will help a lot. I can send you a pic of it. my email is jemalevitis@aol.com |

Aww man don't sell it. It was your dad's and unless you have unfond memories of him I say love it and cherish it. Bet he did at one time.

I owned the same model with a linen dial completely in pristine shape and regret selling it.

If it belonged to your Dad, do not sell it...you will regret it if you do. Something like that should be passed on down through your family.
