New macro lens....shots of Sub LV

Just got a new Nikon 60mm Micro lens to go on the D300 and decided to have some fun on Sunday. Here is my LV in all it's glory. It's amazing how much the naked eye just doesn't pick up....

Keep that crystal crown shot handy for the weekly thread on how to find it / what it looks like. One of the best shots of it I've ever seen.

Yes, it is amazing what a macro lens can capture. Asked recently to email some pics of the "flawless" case sides of my GMT-IIC. Oops, guess not so flawless anymore.

I was joking bro...the pics are awesome and I've already set your date cyclops one as my wallpaper as long as you don't mind.

Jim, didn't think you'd be that harsh :o) ...but the dust is really frustrating... and please go ahead and use the pic, it's an honour to think someone would want to use one of them as wallpaper. In fact if you want a higher res shot let me know.

the new Nikkor 60mm F2.8 Micro lens (with Nano coating) is fantastic and relatively inexpensive for what you get....I picked up mine at B&H Photo when I was in New York recently for USD $525.
