Icon4 Though it's not good to health, how frequent you will do so?

I just looking at my father-in-law's old Rolex with dark spots (dead luminova paint).
Just worrying about the future erosion of Luminova paint due to moisture of my GMT IIc. I want to know When you will adjust the time

1. once per few days?
2. once per few weeks?
3. once at the end of the month less the 31 days?

will you do so within air-conditioned room (less moisure)???

or am I worrying too much?

I usually set my watch when I change the date, or on a non-date, when I notice it is off by a couple of minutes..

However, when you unscrew the crown and pull the stem out, your Rolex is still moisture proof.

Inside the crown tube there is a sealing "O" ring on the Twinlock crowns and 2 "O" rings on the Triplock crowns..

You do not need to concern yourself if you are in a controlled environment for this operation..

Wow. Thought I babied my watch.

I think the gaskets in your watch will keep it dry and clean. I wouldn't worry that much. I change my watch when the date is off and I set it to official gov't time.

Your father-in-law's Oyster is about 40 years old and still looking preety nice. You have plenty of time to worry about your's!

I think I missed something here. Not unusual for me. The dial appears to have the designation "T SWISS T" in the six o'clock area. I thought this meant tritium. So why the comment about luminova paint? Nice watch!
