GMT II 16710 weird "push to turn" bezel issue
Hey guys, just acquired a nice GMT II 16710, full set etc.
Noticed the bezel is quite difficult to turn in either direction. However, by pushing down on it with 2 fingers it seems to rotate pretty easily with the usual ratcheting sound in both directions, albeit slightly harder going clockwise than anti-clockwise. Does anyone know if this push down to release thing is normal? I've looked around the forum and read the manual, but nothing. I know the very old ones (think the 1675) had this feature, but thought the modern ones just freely rotated with 120 clicks? Ive given it the usual clean/soak in hot soapy water and rotated the bezel under water, but no improvement! Any 16710 owners or ex-owners out there than can verify? Many thanks! |

Thanks for confirming. Guess its time to pop the bezel off and take a look!
