Whats a good price for a T Serial Exp II?

I'm planning to add a third Rolex to my collection. I have the oppurtunity to purchase a T Serial Exp II with white dial, box and papers. It's never been serviced and appears to be very good condition. I would really appreciate any feedback and suggested price I should pay.

Thanks.

Factor in a $520 or thereabouts for a RSC service. It should have Tritium dial & hands which is nice, so I would say low to mid 3K's with B&P in VG condition would be a fair price.

Yep, low-mid 3K range (3000-3350) would be the market value. This includes B&P.

Do you think service would be necessary? The seller claims to have had it for a few years and received it as a gift as new. He says he's worn it a handful of times only and has kept it on and off on a winder. I would be paying around $2800 for it.

Thanks.

Yes, a T is from 1996 and will need service. Definitely overdue for service.

I agree with sea-dweller. Way overdue for a service. You will be glad you did it.

Last year, I picked up a 1999 Expy II noir for $2800 with a service date less than a year old. Perhaps discussing the service factor could lower the price a wee bit for you. Good luck.
