Help!

I noticed my watch had stopped because I hadn't worn it in two days. I unscrewed the crown and winded the watch about 35 times, and then I adjusted the time and pushed the crown back in.

Then I realized the time wasn't exactly right, so I tried to pull the crown back out but it won't come out or click! I can't pull it out or stop the second handle or anything! What happened?

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

When I pull on it, instead of it making two clicks, one for the date and one for the time, it just does ONE click that's smaller than one of those clicks. Then if I try to turn it, it won't wind the movement, it will just spin freely. Then I can pop that tiny click back in to wind the movement. But it doesn't get pulled out past that tiny click. I guess it is jammed... I haven't tried pulling too hard, I don't want to break it.

I've read the winding crown can be cross threaded. You may want to check on it.

Thank You

Does it still continue to happen after screwing the crown back in and then trying again?

If the problem continues to happen I would not touch it and rather have it checked. I would try sending it to a trusty watchmaker.

Unfortunately, yes. It does continue to happen every time I try! I guess it is jammed, I'll see my local watchmaker about it. It's just sad when these things happen :(

the stem has become unseated from its push/pull rod-in laymens terms-should be a pretty easy fix as long as the retent screw hasnt become stripped and come out of the movemnt.

Take heart Youssef it's nothing as serious compared to me dropping an antique chronograph on the floor. The chrono function went bonkus and I can't sleep well for the whole night.

Thanks for your support everyone, I'll let you know what happens with it.
