I have used them a few time an regretted it every time. They lure you down there with many promises over the phone and email. Then when you arrive its the old pressure tactics. It takes me just under two hours to drive there with traffic. Also though they are very knowledgeable hey use that to their advantage and so will try and exploit you.

I found this especially the case when I first started buying watches. Also if you are thinking of selling and actually take a watch in they will come up with all sorts of excuse to knock you down below what they initially offered. Before I knew about bracelet stretch they convinced me that my SS-pl YM had a really bad case of stretch and rattling in it and I must have played a lot of golf. It was a year old and I had never been near a golf course. If you want a grey dealer I can highly recommend dream watches or watch-finder uk. I have used both, The first is very professional and Dean, will always stick to his word.

Watch-finder Uk have been always superb, also if you contact them references the item you are interested they can sometime surprise you. Watch-finder have always been fantastic to me also. I usually deal with people face to face as I am to eager to wit to get my new toy.

I have purchased from both these two BNIB and had no issues with warranties. Wathfinderuk do have open paper warranties.

Hi,
I can't help with watches.co.uk, but I can add to Shoppy's recommendation of Dream Watches, Dane is a great guy to deal with.
Good luck with any purchase you make

I too have used watchfinder, watches of distinction, Blowers, etc in the past and all was OK, but when I bought from www.watches.co.uk I had a less than great buying experience..... although the watch was as described.

I regularly check in on the watches.co.uk to see if there's a good deal but I've never purchased from them.

It is surprising and slightly enlightening that already two members here have had a less than positive experience with them since they make such a big thing about posting their testimonials on their site.

I have dealt with watches.co.uk and they are 100% genuine and excellent service. I deal with Tim and John who are very helpfully.

Mind you the brittle bone disease (Osteogenesis imperfecta) and Avascular necrosis (loss of blood supply to bones as a result of working in high pressure environments) that many suffer from is the payback you have to give.

Everything comes with a price!

First off Chazh sorry for the thread hi-jack...
1500 quid a day, well bugger me with a pitch fork.
I knew I was in the wrong business and you get a free watch that some idiot (like myself if I could afford it) will pay redundancy money for.
I think the health gamble might just be worth it.
Although if I took it I'd lose .

No guarantee you would ever resurface with or without the watch.

I remember seeing a video taken in the North Sea, at night a diver fixing some installation pipe. The Surface Support Team swung the light and camera round and there was a Killer Whale ten feet from him watching him work. You should have heard the diver on the tape

They deserve every penny, one of the most dangerous jobs on the planet.

Hi Shoppy

I find Dream watches and Watchfinder more expensive than watch.co.uk.

I am looking for buying a 16613 Bluesy...
Are the prices negotiable?

Are you looking at new or used? Also you can always try and negoiate, there is no harm in trying. I just simply will not use watches.co.uk as my wife waned to buy me a watch. She rang them up they gave her one price, I rang up to asked about the price and it had changed then so did my parents. Every time the price was different.

It is your money so you can choose to spend it where you will. But after dealing with them on more then 3 occasions. I will never deal with them
